The Great Star Theater has a storied history, with countless managers, volunteers, and artists who have contributed towards making it was it is today. As we honor that history and marshal the community, we want to share a bit about who is driving the reopening of the Great Star Theater for a new age.
Roger Pincombe
Executive Director
Roger first moved to San Francisco 9 years ago and is proud of his dual background in tech and theater. He is always looking for new opportunities to bring together the various communities within San Francisco.

Alice Chu (Pei Chu)
Director of Community Relations
Alice hails from Xuchang, China, and has adopted San Francisco as her home over the last decade. She is excited to bring together the traditional Chinese residents of San Francisco Chinatown with newer transplants and western communities.
Paul Nathan
Artistic Director
A fifth generation San Franciscan, Paul travels the world doing magic in his award winning I Hate Children Children's Show. Onstage or off, Paul is a charismatic magician and comedian.

Rachel Blauberg
Venue Operations Manager
Red has been working in theater, both on and off the stage for over twenty years. She has been a theatrical house manager, sales and marketing director, stage manager, comedic character actress and is now proud to join the Great Star family as the venue operations manager. In her spare time she enjoys clowning, Emcee'ing and performing
in cabaret shows throughout the Bay Area.
Mad Dog Madigan
Creative Direction and Live Event Management
Mad Dog Madigan has served as Art Director to San Francisco's illustrious Edwardian Ball, has been creative director of The Battery SF, and has produced hundreds of shows with San Francisco's premier circus troupe Vau de Vire Society. And if you've ever been to Burning Man you've seen Mad Dog wondrous welcome sign at the main entrance as it beckons Burners back to Black Rock City and back to the Playa. If you have attended a party, fete, bash, celebration, soiree, shindig, festival or even a social gathering of two or more people that involved alcohol and entertainment in San Francisco in the last decade, you've surely experienced Mad Dog's art.

Lish Lash
Technical Director
Lish has had a 20-year career in live sound and theater production in the San Francisco Bay Area. Trained specialist in acoustics, multi-track recording, and cinema surround sound.

Michael Gerard
Lighting Tech
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Michael has been working in Film and Theater since 1990.
Harry Davis
Assistant Front of House Manager
Harry is from the East Bay and helps manage the front of house of the Great Star. He also acts and write plays.
We are supported by a board of directors with a range of backgrounds, from the arts, technology, financial, and legal fields. And of course, none of this would be possible without the massive community support from both the Chinatown community and wider Bay Area art and entertainment scenes.
